Asian tai (species of reddish-brown Pacific sea bream, Pagrus major) Bangkok

I went to the huge reptile market in Bangkok! Reptiles, amphibians, and exotic animals gathered!

Today is my last day in Bangkok. I’m going to visit the reptile market (Chatuchak Market), which I’ve always wanted to check out.

It is located around JJ Mall in Bangkok.

They have a wide variety of exotic animals, including geckos such as leopard geckos, as well as fish, snakes, birds of prey, rabbits, and goats.

They had everything—from breeding supplies to food.

The way they manage things feels a bit more careless than in Japan, but there were also many cute cats.

There are goats walking in front of the shops.

Surprisingly, there were only three leopard geckos, so there weren’t many. According to what I heard, there was a fire at this market a few months ago, and it seems that tens of thousands of animals were lost.

There were also turtles that you rarely get to see at reptile events in Japan.

There are also many iguanas and parrots.

Is this a horned frog?

This is a beautiful leopard tortoise.

There are monkeys as well.

This is inside JJ Mall, which is next to the market. It’s very spacious and has a wide selection, so I think it’s a great place to shop for souvenirs.

I was thinking of buying something other than live animals at a reptile shop, but everything they had could also be bought in Japan, so I didn’t purchase anything.
